So the art show/open mic was a huge success. Young people are now banding together to make a space for the youth. Movie nights, art shows, slam poetry events, open mic extravaganzas, free zines, fair trade and charity. What more could you ask for?
The main idea is to cultivate the talent of our city, and connect those people with everyone else. Singers, writers, cooks, and bicycle repair shops. If you love something, share it with us, or at the very least, share it with someone.
- to organize on Sundays
(open forum for positive discussion on improvements and future planning)
- to discuss zine on Wednesdays
(a group designed to specifically deal with the design, layout, editing, and content of our promo magazine)
- for events on Saturdays
(where you want to be to witness Brampton’s finest talent, and brightest ideas)
So where is this magical place located?
The Green Cup @ The Four Corners in downtown Brampton. North of the RBC on Main St.
The Green Cup creates fresh desserts and baked goods daily and serves FAIR TRADE coffee and tea. The prices are genuinely affordable and help keep the independent spirit alive in the city(did I mention free wifi and impromptu jam sessions?)
Let me know if this peaked interest at all. we love to see a bigger turn out every week!
